This 11 minute Deep Core Express class targets and strengthens your Transverse Abdominis. Your TVA is your deepest layer of abdominal muscle. A few of the benefits of a strong TVA are:

-To protect and stabilize spine 

-To improve pelvic floor function 

-To manage intra-abdominal pressure for a well- functioning core 

-To help with posture 

-To reduce low back pain 

-To move with ease in your daily life 

-Visual bonus: contributes to the appearance of a leaner, flatter stomach 

Strengthening and connecting to this deep core muscle is a cornerstone of the Britsbarre Virtual Studio and is especially important work after childbirth to reclaim pain-free, strong movement into motherhood. 

Several pieces of equipment are used to deepen the work in this class, however, the entire class can be taken with no equipment. Pre/postnatal modifications are demonstrated.

Recommended Equipment:

  • A 9in pilates ball

  • A medium resistance miniband

  • A set of sliders (or socks/towels on a smooth surface)
